My name is Erica and I think I’m addicted to calendars and planners. 🗓💁🏻‍♀️ . . . Got the @thedaydesigner 2020 planner I was looking for @target 🎯 I am incredibly grateful for a crazy work flow this year and want to be ready for whatever 2020 throws at me! I also got one those giant desk pad calendars, and I have a calendar in the waiting room and therapy room of my office. Not to mention the handy calendar on the iPhone.🤣I told you I was addicted! Don’t ask me what day it is or what I’m doing, unless I have my planner in front of me! . . . What are you doing to get ready for 2020??? #stylepreservation 😀

My very dear friend, @vanessakaneshirogarber told me to stand on a rock and “look that way!” while we were watching the sunrise atop Haleakala. When she showed me my picture, I incredulously said “Wow! I look so happy!” I realized what a weird remark that was to make about myself, but it was true. . . . Sometimes you need reminders that happiness is something you work for, but honestly sometimes it creeps up on you when you least expect it...like at 5:30 in the morning when you’re freezing your buns off while standing on top of the world with hundreds of other people who are in awe of a sunrise. I also told my 3 friends of 30 years that I knew we were creating a lifetime memory that day. How could that not put a silly grin on your face? 😁 . . . . What’s your favorite omiyage to give or receive?💁🏻‍♀️ . . . Its been a few years since I first discovered Pablo mini cheese tarts outside the train station in Akihabara. Found a location in the Shinjuku Station that packed up a box of 6, so I could bring them home to some special people. They survived the ride at the bottom of my backpack and they last up to 3 days. Beyond lucky and blessed in this life. Enjoyed an incredible amount of food and alcohol in Japan on my birthday and woke up this morning to all kinds of sweet birthday messages.🥰 . . . If there is one intention that I’d like to set for this year and all the years ahead, it’s that I will create my own happiness. If you wait on others, you could be waiting your whole life. . . .
