When was the last time you were overwhelmed with delicious choices at a restaurant? I met 3 of my favorite people for lunch at Tiny Pyramid in Honolulu this past Sunday, and I had the hardest time making a choice. If you’re a pescatarian, this place is heaven. Although you can find chicken, duck, and lamb on the menu, there are tons of seafood options.
I asked our server for the most popular items on the menu to help make my decision, and finally chose the Fisherman’s Pot Pie, a puff pastry with salmon, scallops, shrimp, bamboo, eggplant, zucchini, and red bell pepper in a green curry sauce. I was not disappointed by my choice. I was sure to get a piece of the flaky pastry paired with a piece of seafood for each perfect bite.
Katie ordered the Laotian Pot Pie, which was a puff pastry with chicken breast, carrot, onion, potato, and zucchini in a tomato sauce. She enjoyed her deconstructed pot pie!
Katrina chose the Green Curry, which came with the cutest tiny pyramid of rice. She described it as having the perfect level of spice, not too hot or mild.
Vanessa had the Khang Lao soup, which had a lemongrass broth with baby corn, spinach, and tomato. She said the broth was very flavorful.
She also enjoyed her Sea Scallop Napoleon. It was the previously mentioned puff pastry with scallop, eggplant, red bell peppper, and zucchini in a lemongrass curry sauce. Yum!
You really can’t go wrong with these beautiful desserts. The Chocolate Pyramid is a must if you’re a chocoholic, while the fresh fruit made the tarts a delicious choice.
