2018 was a year of many firsts. Having a blog has definitely gotten me out to try new restaurants and buzzed about places. I thought I’d do a post of 6 desserts that I tried for the first time in 2018. These were all places that I thoroughly enjoyed and hope to eat at again this year!

- A popular franchise on the mainland, SomiSomi made its debut in Hawaii in 2018. In the former Dairy Queen location (street level), they have created quite a buzz with their delicious flavors, including milk, matcha, ube, and oreo.

- lnstagramworthy Shaka Booms are equal parts cute and delicious. Choose your soft serve ice cream, filling, and toppings. I definitely need to go back to try their Mochi Pop, Dole Whip Float, or POG Slush.

- The mochi donut craze is in full swing at MoDo. You can get the popular donuts in a variety of flavors.
