This beautiful Sunday started with some of my favorite people. We were able to catch up with each other over delicious food in et. al, a restaurant inside Foodland’s Kahala MKT. store.
I loved this restaurant for lots of reasons, and here are just a few of the really important ones: 1) Delicious food-we ALL enjoyed what we ordered. (I’ll be getting to some delicious pictures in a second) 2) Lots of available parking 3) Easy reservations on Open Table 4) Attentive service 5) Spacious interior which is pretty and comfortable. 6) Since it’s located in Foodland Kahala MKT., you can browse the aisles after your meal.

The special for the day sounded too good to pass up. Two of us ordered the Lobster Benedict. My favorite part about it, besides the large pieces of lobster, was the sauce. It wasn’t overly rich and still had a really great flavor. The rosti was also nice and crispy. I didn’t take a picture of my iced vanilla latte, but I will say that it woke me and gave me life this morning. They had a variety of milks available, including oat milk.

My other friend ordered the Macadamia Nut Chantilly Danish, which she let us try and it was delicious. This and a cup of hot coffee is basically heaven.

She also had the Coconut Chia Seed Parfait which had lilikoi curd, fresh berries, lehua honey, and granola. She said it was really good, and with an ingredient list like that, I don’t think you can ever go wrong!

My fourth friend ordered the ham, egg, and cheese on sourdough. It came with country ham, gruyere, and whole grain mustard miso aioli. She also ordered a croissant with ham for her one year old daughter. Her daughter devoured that croissant, giving it her seal of approval.
If you’re looking for a good breakfast spot in town, I highly recommend et. al. Make a reservation online to ensure you get a spot. I’ll definitely be going back to try their pancakes and Mexican Sweet Avocado Toast.
