The brand new Kahala MKT. by Foodland opened on November 18th, and it is gorgeous! I stopped by on Saturday and wanted to share some highlights.
As soon as you walk through the doors, there are beautiful flowers and plants. These would make a great housewarming or hostess gift. You could also take them home to breathe life into your own space.
There’s a wall of cards perfect for every occassion. With Christmas right around the corner, it was stocked with holiday cards, gift wrap, and more.
There was also a variety of Calabash meals, which are meal kits created by Foodland’s chefs. Take the thinking out of your cooking for the night and buy one of these easy kits.
They’ve got a variety of pizzas to choose from. I didn’t get to try a slice on this trip, but they looked absolutely delicious.
Of course, there was the signature Foodland poke counter. I ended up going home with a poke bowl on this day. I can never resist poke!
I need to say that the fresh produce area was a salad lovers dream. Gorgeous greens, as well as a variety of prepared salads, juices, and more gives customers lots of healthy and delicious choices.
I tried the Beach Day Coco juice which was made with pineapple, green apple, mint, and coconut water. It was refreshing and yummy, and had me wanting to try more of their juices.
I’m always a sucker for good sauces and dressings. There was a refrigerator in the produce section that was stocked with all kinds of sauces, dressings, curry, soups, and more.
Beautiful displays of Foodland’s own Maika’i brand products can be found throughout the store. Nuts, arare, pita chips, truffles, seeds, coffee, furikake and more! Looking at all the neatly lined bags made me think of how wonderful it would be to create a gift basket full of yummy Maika’i products for Christmas or any occasion. I tried the pita chips, and they were absolutely addicting!
Last but not least was their wine and liquor section. Again, you could take home a nice bottle for yourself or gift it to someone special.
Kahala MKT is a smaller store that has been carefully edited to provide customers with a special experience. I’m not sure if it’s because the holidays are upon us, but many things in the store looked like perfect gifts for special people in my own life. I could also see myself stopping in to pick up lunch or dinner. There were so many great grab and go choices. As I mentioned before, it was nice to see so many healthy and delicious options in one place.
